Virginia Kenshinkai

The Virginia Kenshinkai is a dojo that trains in Japanese swordsmanship. Our main art is Nakamura Ryu Batto Do. We also have a study group for Mugai Ryu Iaihyodo. We plan to use this site to discuss swords and swordsmanship.

DC Cherry Blossom Fest


The Kenshinkai will be doing a demonstration during the annual DC Cherry Blossom Festival . The festival officially opened today, and will have events for the next few weeks. The parade and street festival are on April 8th, and we will be on the martial arts stage from 1:00-1:30. Come by and say 'hi.'
